Grass Roots Poker (GRP) is a UK-based poker community and events organisation built from the ground up. We run local poker leagues, live events, freeroll qualifiers and our own GRP Poker Tour — giving everyday players a real pathway to bigger tournaments, including international packages to Malta.

We run leagues across North East England, including the Wallsend League at Wallsend Labour Club, The Hut League (Fridays at 8pm), and the GRP Online League you can play from anywhere. New venues are added all the time — there's a seat at the table for you.

Local league games cost £2 per week, which covers the prizes. GRP Tour events and the Online League have their own buy-ins, and every price is clearly shown on the event pages.

Players earn league points for taking part and for finishing in the top 10 each week. Leagues run as seasons of around 6 months, and the points decide the prizes — including poker trip packages and international events.

Absolutely. Grass Roots Poker is built for everyday players, not just pros. Every league is inclusive and friendly, and it's a great way to learn, improve and meet other people who love the game.
